At the beginning of August, cheers and celebrations were in order: Five beers were awarded medals at the World Beer Awards. Bronze went to the Hefeweißbier Dunkel and the Pilsner, silver to the Weihenstephaner Helle - but the highest honors went to two other beers.

The Kristallweißbier and the Weizenbock Vitus not only received the gold medal, but were also named the best beers of their style in Germany. The former impressed with its pleasant tartness, fine banana notes, rounded off with a hint of citrus. The Weizenbock Vitus convinced the judges with its strong aromas of banana and clove, its high drinkability despite 7.7 percent alcohol and its rounded taste.

The victory at the German level additionally meant that both beers competed for the title of the world's best beer in their respective categories. And here, the Kristallweissbier prevailed over the competition once again - and can now officially call itself the world's best Kristallweissbier for the second consecutive year!

Prof. Dr. Josef Schrädler, Director of the brewery: "This is incredible! For the second time in a row, our Kristallweissbier has been named the world's best beer of its style. An incredible success that speaks for the immense quality of our beers, for which our employees give everything every day. We still can't believe that we're actually at the summit of such top-class competition."

And the fact that Kristallweissbier is once again taking home the title of "World's Best" is an absolute dream and a confirmation.
